SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have increased by NTD 300/mt ($10/mt) over the past week to NTD 8,000-8,700/mt ($268-292/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.
In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have risen by NTD 500/mt ($17/mt) stable over the past week to NTD 29,500-32,000/mt ($989-1,073/mt) ex-yard.
The above prices include five percent VAT and are for early September shipments.
