SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have declined by NTD 200/mt ($7/mt) over the past week to NTD 7,700-8,400/mt ($262-285/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.
In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have decreased by NTD 1,500/mt ($51/mt) over the past week to NTD 29,000-31,500/mt ($985-1,070/mt) ex-yard.
The above prices include five percent VAT and are for mid-August shipments.
