Sinter feed fines of 65 percent iron contents are currently traded for export from Brazil at $116/mt, while equivalent lumps are traded at $124/mt and equivalent pellets at $130/mt, CFR China conditions, dry basis, compared to offers reported last week of $118/mt for sinter feed fines $128/mt for lumps, and $135/mt for pellets, same conditions.

In the Brazilian domestic market, such prices are now respectively $75/mt, $83/mt and $89/mt, ex-works, no taxes included, wet basis, stable from last week.

Preliminary figures from the local customs are pointing to an increase iron ore and pellet exports in June. Based on volumes for the first three weeks of the month, the total volume of June is expected to exceed 30 million mt.

The figure is in line with the 29.4 million mt exported in June 2019, which was still affected by the Brumadinho dam collapse in January 2019, but still far from the 35.3 million mt exported in June 2018.
