Another reduction scrap purchase prices of China’s Shagang Steel

SteelOrbis has been informed that Shagang Steel, the largest ferrous scrap consumer in China, has announced another reduction in its average scrap purchase prices today, January 16. Accordingly, Shagang Steel’s scrap purchase quotations have declined by another RMB 60/mt as of today to RMB 2,400/mt ($373/mt) delivered.
