According to market sources, Turkish rebar offers to Yemen stand in the range of $560-565/mt CFR on theoretical weight basis for shipment in November, down by $10/mt since last week. However, demand for these offers in the local Yemeni market is on the weak side.

Meanwhile, Chinese rebar offers for the same destination are at $425/mt FOB on actual weight basis. Yemeni buyers find the Chinese offers more attractive than the Turkish rebar prices, while an ex-China deal in Yemen for about 10,000 mt of rebar has been concluded in the past week at this price level.
