Wire rod prices in Taiwanese domestic market - week 38

The new wire rod prices in the local Taiwanese steel market are at the following levels:

Medium carbon 5.5-12 mm	NTD 22,500-23,500/mt ($767-801/mt)
High carbon 5.5-12 mm	NTD 22,500-23,500/mt ($767-801/mt)
Low alloyed 5.5-12 mm	NTD 24,500-25,500/mt ($835-869/mt)
CHQ 5.5-32 mm	NTD 24,000-24,500/mt ($818-835/mt)

 
The above prices include five percent VAT and are also delivered to customer. The prices, which have declined by NTD 300-500/mt ($10-17/mt) since last week, are for shipments in the latter part of September.
