SteelOrbis has been informed that offers from a producer in Izmir in Turkey’s Aegean region for 5.5 mm drawing quality wire rod have been issued at $580/mt ex-works, while its offers for 20MnB4 grade have been set at $680/mt ex-works.
In addition, the producer’s offers for 5.5 mm drawing quality wire rod are at $595/mt delivered to Istanbul and its offers for 20MnB4 grade are at $695/mt delivered to Istanbul. Its offers have risen by $10/mt for all grades amid higher import scrap prices. All prices are as compared to the offers seen on Wednesday, September 10.
The mill has also increased its 5.5-16 mm SAE 1010/mesh grade price by $10/mt to $560/mt, while also raising its 5.5-16 mm SAE 1010/mesh grade-2A price by $10/mt to $550/mt ex-works in Izmir, as compared to September 10.
All the above prices exclude 20 percent VAT and are for cash payments.
