Buyers in the local Turkish billet market are observed to be worried due to the high volatility of the Turkish lira-US dollar exchange rate, and so they prefer just to monitor the market. On the other hand, Turkish producers have kept their domestic billet prices unchanged over the past week at $490-495/mt ex-works.

Meanwhile, SteelOrbis has been informed that billet offers from Turkey to the export market are currently at $485-490/mt FOB, while international demand for Turkish billet has declined during the past week.
