Inquiry activity in the US import rebar market is still somewhat muted, but some orders are still reportedly trickling through at mostly steady price levels. Sources tell SteelOrbis that because US domestic rebar mills still have “plenty of availability,” there is less incentive for buyers to place future-arrival orders, especially considering demand is not as robust as many expected it to be by now.

As such, US import rebar offers from Algeria are still ranging from $44.00-$45.00 cwt. ($970-$992/mt or $880-$900/nt) DDP loaded truck in US Gulf ports, and offers from Mexico are still at $46.50-$47.50 cwt. ($1,025-$1,047/mt or $930-$950/nt) DDP Houston.
