It is observed that Turkish wire rod export offers have mostly remained unchanged over the past week, though some steelmakers have increased their wire rod export prices. In the current week, Turkish wire rod mills export offers have been standing in the range of $510-530/mt FOB. The mills that decided to increase their wire rod export quotations are the ones with fairly full order books, but their offers at $530/mt FOB are considered to be unacceptable in the international markets since the range of $510-515/mt FOB is more attractive for buyers now. On the other hand, Turkish mills are receiving demand from the Far East, SteelOrbis has been informed, while Turkish mills may reduce their offers for large tonnages below the lower end of their price range at $510-530/mt FOB.
