As of today, January 28, official wire rod prices in Turkey have decreased by $5-10/mt week on week depending on the region, against the backdrop of the ongoing currency fluctuations and sluggish demand. According to sources, one Iskenderun-based mill is rumored to be testing a wire rod price at $560/mt ex-works depending on the tonnage and payment term. However, this information has not been confirmed by the time of publication.
According to sources, workable wire rod prices in Turkey have fallen by $10/mt on the lower end over the past week to $550-580/mt ex-works.
Most buyers are just purchasing in line with their daily needs and are not rushing to restock.
