Turkish mills’ wire rod export prices have remained stable over the past week at $510-530/mt FOB. On the other hand, SteelOrbis has been informed that the lower end of this range is offered for cargoes consisting of large tonnages and for June shipment, while the upper end is offered for May shipments.

Market sources state that demand received by Turkish wire rod producers is currently from coming from the Far East, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Additionally, according to market sources, Turkish wire rod mills are carrying out sales negotiations with buyers in the European Union within the scope of the new quota to be released in July, but buyers are cautious. Meanwhile, SteelOrbis has been informed that some Turkish mills have filled their order books for June.
