Over the past week, Turkish merchant bar producers have increased their official domestic merchant bar prices by TRY 900-1000/mt ($2-4/mt) amid the ongoing currency fluctuations and the positive sentiment in the import scrap segment. One Iskenderun-based mill has issued its equal angle prices at TRY 23,200/mt ($611/mt) ex-works today, March 25. Additional discounts are applicable for serious buyers and cash payment.
Most merchant bar sellers are offering either for deliveries in late April-early May or from stocks, depending on the size.
