Turkish merchant bar export prices remain stable, buyers wait for discounts

Most Turkish merchant bar re-rollers have remained unchanged week on week at $580-600/mt FOB, for late February-March shipment. Most European buyers have already concluded their purchases within the ongoing quota period which began on January 1. Most international buyers are exerting pressure for further discounts. 

The SteelOrbis Turkish import billet daily reference price stands at $468-490/mt, up by $3/mt on the lower end over the past week. 

All prices are on FOB basis and for late February-March shipment.
