Today, June 9, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have increased by TRY 20-50/mt ($5-8/mt) except in the Iskenderun region where rebar spot prices are stable on Turkish lira basis but up by $3-4/mt on US dollar basis since Monday, June 4. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey are now at TRY 7,050-7,150/mt or $696-705/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region.
Icdas has raised its rebar price by $10/mt to $710/mt (TRY 7,210/mt) ex-works today. Other mills in the Marmara region have opened their official rebar sales at $720/mt ex-works.
In the Izmir region, Izmir Demir Celik (IDC) is currently offering rebar at $710/mt ex-works at the current exchange rate. One Izmir-based mill has closed its rebar sales at $700/mt ex-works after selling around 5,000-10,000 mt at TRY 7,080-7,100/mt ($698-700/mt) ex-works earlier today.
In the Iskenderun region, Bastug Metallurgy and one re-roller in this region have opened their rebar sales at TRY 7,200/mt ($710/mt) ex-works/ex-warehouse today.
