Today, July 9, Turkish integrated mill Kardemir has cut its wire rod prices by $10/mt as compared to its prices issued on Wednesday, June 25 amid the ongoing currency fluctuations and sluggish demand. According to sources, around 5,000 mt of wire rod has been traded so far, while the final tonnage has not been clarified by the time of publication.
Accordingly, Kardemir’s price for 5.5 mm SAE 1008-1010 grade wire rod stands at $570/mt ex-works, while its 6-27 mm wire rod of the same steel grade is offered at $555/mt ex-works. In addition, 28-56 mm wire rod of the same steel grade is offered at $575/mt ex-works.
The wire rod prices exclude 20 percent VAT.
