Stagnant demand for Turkish rebar exports due to end-of-Ramadan holiday

This week, trading activity for Turkish rebar both in Turkey and in most export markets has been very slack due to the end-of-Ramadan holiday, while Turkish rebar export prices have remained stable week on week at $380-415/mt FOB.

During the end-of-Ramadan holiday, several import scrap deals have been heard in Turkey, with scrap prices moving down slightly in these deals. Accordingly, rebar buyers in the export markets, who are expected to start their price inquiries after the holiday, are expected to seek lower prices from Turkish exporters when making new bookings.
