Most producers in Turkey's Marmara region are currently out of the market. It is possible to find prices up to TRY 915-925/mt in Turkey's Payas region. Most of the traders' stocks are full at the moment. Although the winter season this year has been very mild, construction firms seem not to have entered the market yet. Due to the high rebar prices, some of the traders in the domestic market are selling a part of their stocks in order to ensure profit-taking. On the other hand, most traders are trying to maintain their stocks as they consider that the prices will increase further with the accession of the construction firms to the market. New prices are at the following levels:

Marmara Region:
Small dia: TRY 910/mt (approx. $539/mt)
Large dia: TRY 910/mt (approx. $539/mt)

Payas area:
Small dia: TRY 950/mt (approx. $562/mt)
Large dia: TRY 940/mt (approx. $556/mt)

Izmir area:
Small dia: TRY 930-955/mt (approx. $550-565/mt)
Medium dia: TRY 920-940/mt (approx. $544-556/mt)
Large dia: TRY 910-930/mt (approx. $539-550/mt)

Trading firms' prices in Karabuk area:
Small dia: TRY 950/mt (approx. $562/mt)
Large dia: TRY 910/mt (approx. $539/mt)
All TRY prices include 18% VAT and are ex-works. However, prices in the Karabuk area are ex-warehouse. USD equivalents exclude VAT. 1 USD = 1.4320 TRY
