Prices decrease further in local Turkish rebar spot market

According to market sources, rebar prices in the local Turkish spot market have decreased by around TRY 20-35/mt since July 9, though prices on US dollar basis have declined by $4-7/mt due to the fluctuation of the exchange rate. Market players state that local rebar prices once more had to be revised downwards due to declining import scrap prices, domestic political uncertainty and the ongoing weakness of demand in the Turkish market.
