Pakistan Steel hikes billet prices

Pakistan Steel Mill has hiked sales prices for billets of 90 × 90 mm/ 100 x 100 mm and 105 × 105 mm in the local Pakistani market by PRK 1,000/ton (approx. $17/ton) to PKR 28,500/ton ($470/ton) ex-mill, excluding sales tax/excise duty. Meanwhile the mill has increased the price of 150 × 150 mm billets by the same amount to PKR 28,000/ton ($462/ton), as per the price list dated October 13, 2006. The producer's hot rolled and cold rolled coil prices remain at their previous levels.
