A few days before the start of the summer production stoppages, local producers' rebar prices in the Italian domestic market have remained more or less stable at €480-490 mt ex-works. Some operators report a general difficulty in finding certain sizes from various producers. Domestic demand continues to remain depressed, while there are no glimpses of changes on the horizon either in terms of demand or in regard to prices.
There are no new developments in the export market, with Italian rebar producers not giving prices at the moment.
