Local Turkish wire rod market trends down further

SteelOrbis has been informed by market sources that local producers' price levels in the Turkish domestic market for 6-7 mm mesh quality wire rod are as follows:

The above prices, which are on actual weight basis, exclude VAT and are on ex-works basis. The offers may differ depending on buyers and order sizes.
 
During the past week, demand in the local Turkish wire rod market has been at low levels, while domestic wire rod prices in Turkey have decreased by $10-35/mt. Meanwhile, buyers are still only concluding wire rod purchases in line with their needs amid the approach of Ramadan (begins June 6) and as it is mostly expected that global steel prices will fall further in the coming days.
