Today, August 4, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have increased by TRY 50-100/mt and risen by $6-12/mt on US dollar basis. As a result, 12 mm rebar prices in the Turkish spot market have settled in the range of TRY 3,640-3,680/mt ($443-447/mt) ex-warehouse, depending on the region.
Icdas has increased its rebar prices by TRY 180/mt ($15/mt) to TRY 3,700/mt ($450/mt) ex-works. Moreover, most mills in the Marmara region are currently offering rebar at TRY 3,660-3,701/mt ($445-450/mt) ex-works.
The rebar price of Izmir Demir Celik (IDC) has increased by TRY 100/mt today in the local currency to TRY 3,650/mt ($444/mt) ex-works, with the dollar price rising by $11/mt. Sources report that around 5,000-10,000 mt of rebar have been traded in the Izmir region at TRY 3,660/mt ($445/mt ex-works as of today.
Koc Metallurgy opened its 12 mm rebar sales at TRY 3,660/mt ($445/mt) in the morning today, closing them in the afternoon. Bastug A.S. announced its rebar sales at TRY 3,660/mt ($445/mt) ex-works earlier today. One Iskenderun-based re-roller opened its 12mm rebar sales today at TRY 3,660/mt($445/mt) and revised its price to TRY 3,680/mt($447/mt) ex-works in the afternoon. Another re-roller in the region has closed its rebar sales until Friday, August 7.
In the Karabuk region, Yolbulan A.S. is currently offering 12 mm rebar at TRY 3,700/mt ($450/mt) ex-works.
