During the past week, the long-standing weakness of demand in the local Turkish market has continued, with no improvement observed. However, both Turkish producers and traders have increased their domestic rebar prices against the backdrop of the US dollar gaining strength against the Turkish lira following the recent developments in Turkey's political arena and due to the ongoing rises seen in import scrap quotations
