SteelOrbis has learned from market sources that in the Bulgarian domestic long steel market prices have remained unchanged in the past two weeks. Market players state that, due to the approach of the end of the year, in order to achieve their sales targets Bulgarian producers may give significant discounts to buyers who are interested in booking larger tonnages. Meanwhile, local demand is currently at medium levels.

As for imports, rebar and wire rod offers from Turkey to Bulgaria have decreased by $15/mt over the past two weeks and are now standing at $595/mt CFR and at $600/mt CFR respectively. Meanwhile, ex-Turkey flat bar and equal angle offers have softened by $5/mt over the same period to $660/mt CFR and $650/mt CFR respectively.
