Latest situation in Turkish rebar market

The Turkish domestic rebar market has made a quiet start to the current week. Despite the appreciation of the Turkish lira against the US dollar, Turkish traders' rebar offers have trended sideways week on week due to strong import scrap prices and the improved demand in the rebar market since last week. 

According to the market sources, the Turkish producers domestic rebar offers are at TRY 1,480-1,525/mt ($698-719/mt) ex-mill. The current positive sentiment is expected to continue, while transaction activity is likely to increase.
