In the past week, prices in the Italian wire rod market have remained virtually unchanged. While the prices of drawing quality wire rod in Italy are currently standing at €500-510/mt ($653-666/mt) delivered to customer, mesh quality wire rod prices are at €490-500/mt ($640-653/mt) delivered to customer. Demand continues to be slack and transaction volumes are still low.
The wire rod price trend is stable on the export side too, where asking prices are still too low for some Italian producers. Italian mesh quality wire rod export offers are mentioned at €480/mt ($626/mt) FOB.
