An Iskenderun-based Turkish mill issued its official rebar price at TRY 28,500/mt ($561/mt) ex-works earlier today, November 17, for a seven-day delivery period. This rebar price indicates an increase of TRY 200/mt, while down by $3/mt on US dollar basis compared to Monday, October 13, due to ongoing currency fluctuations. In addition, the mill has increased its rebar price by another TRY 300/mt ($6/mt) and set its final price at TRY 28,800/mt ($567/mt) ex-works in the afternoon and closed its rebar sales soon after setting its final price.
The producer has also raised its 6.5 mm SAE 1008 grade wire rod price in the afternoon by $10/mt to $580/mt ex-works, for an extended delivery period.
The exchange rate is taken as $1 = TRY 42.33 as the mill itself has not indicated any specific exchange rate.
