Indian government-run steel producer Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) has floated a new export tender for 60,000 mt of blooms for shipment by July 15, 2026, the company announced on May 30. In this tender, the mill is offering two options: 320 mm x 250 mm or 250 mm x 250 mm blooms.
The last date for submission of bids has been fixed for June 5, 2026 for a minimum volume of 30,000 mt. Delivery will be executed against irrevocable without recourse international letter of credit on payable on sight terms.
In the previous tender for billet (150 mm), the highest bids were below $470/mt FOB, as SteelOrbis reported earlier. But bloom prices usually have a decent extra over regular billets. With the Chinese market stabilizing at previous levels, it is expected that ex-India billet prices will fluctuate in the limited range of $460-475/mt FOB.
