SteelOrbis has been informed that producers from the CIS, who had expected to adjust their wire rod prices upwards last week, have kept their prices unchanged so far. Accordingly, their mesh quality wire rod prices have not changed since last week and are still standing at $580-590/mt FOB Black Sea ports.
Market sources state that demand for wire rod is strong and CIS producers are seeking to increase their wire rod export prices to $600-605/mt FOB Black Sea for September shipments. It is also reported that sales of August production wire rod have closed.
