SteelOrbis has been informed that the imported rebar price in the local UAE market currently stands at AED 1,800-1,900/mt ($490-517/mt) delivered to site, on theoretical weight basis, with three-to-four month deferred payment. Prices have this week remained unchanged in the UAE's domestic rebar market. Domestic traders' having an intention to work on cash payment basis in the market where cash shortage is observed, has led purchasing activity of end-users to go down. Prices are standing at the level of AED 1,800/mt ($490/mt) for cash payments and high tonnages, whereas prices for three-to-four month deferred payments are at AED 1,900/mt ($517/mt).
