Gerdau raises rebar prices for Florida region only

In a letter to customers late Thursday, Gerdau Long Steel North American said it will increase rebar transaction prices in the State of Florida by $2.00 cwt. ($40/nt or $44/mt), effective with new orders as of Friday, January 19.

Current spot prices for US domestic rebar are in the range of $36.25-$37.25 cwt. ($725-$745/nt or $799-$821/mt) ex-mill.

No other US domestic rebar mills in the Florida region or elsewhere made a similar announcement as of press time.
