SteelOrbis has heard that Egyptian-origin rebar bookings have been concluded at $505-520/mt FOB on actual weight basis. The domestic and export rebar prices have risen since the beginning of September. A rebar booking at the higher end of the $505-520/mt FOB price range has been concluded in Sudan, while a booking at the lower end of the $505-520/mt FOB price range via trader has been concluded in Russia. The influence of Ramadan, in addition to the October expectations that are not at the same levels as September, may cause a slight slow down in October.
