Demand in the local Turkish merchant bar market is still very weak, while prices have decreased by TRY 30-80/mt depending on the region. However, market players state that there is still room for negotiation on current price levels.
Meanwhile, in the local Turkish market merchant bar prices depending on size, thickness and region are at the following levels: small IPN-UPN are priced at TRY 1,310-1,370/mt ($492-515/mt), angles are at TRY 1,300-1,360/mt ($489-511/mt), while flat bars are at TRY 1,320-1,380/mt ($496-519/mt). All prices are ex-works, on actual weight basis and excluding VAT.
