It is observed that demand received by Turkish wire rod suppliers from the international markets has weakened over the past week. With import scrap quotations increasing further, Turkish wire rod producers’ costs have also moved up further. As a result, Turkish mills’ wire rod export offers have increased by an average of $5/mt week on week to $490-500/mt FOB. Additionally, Turkish wire rod suppliers have concluded a limited number of sales of small tonnages to Israel, market sources report.
