SteelOrbis has been informed by market sources that price levels in the Turkish domestic market for 6-7 mm mesh quality wire rod are as follows:

Region

Price ($/mt)

Marmara

597-605

Thrace

589-601

Izmir

586-593

Iskenderun

600-605

The above prices, which are on actual weight basis, do not include VAT and are on ex-works basis.

Although local Turkish wire rod market prices have gained stability on the back of the stable trend of the US dollar-Turkish lira exchange at the 2.20 mark and amid unchanged scrap prices, activity has remained on the poor side.

Meanwhile, ex-CIS April production wire rod offers for Turkey stand in the range of $580-590/mt FOB, though no deals have been heard at these levels yet.
