On March 6, Hubei Province-based Wuhan Iron & Steel Corporation (WISCO) has announced certain adjustments to its ex-factory prices for April. The details are as follows:
1. HR coils
Prices have declined RMB 200/mt ($29/mt). After the changes, the price of 2.75 mm Q235 HRC is at RMB 3,450/mt ($505/mt), while that of 5.5 mm Q235 HRC is at RMB 3,340/mt ($489/mt).
2. CR coils
Prices have decreased RMB 300/mt ($44/mt). Thus, the price of 1.0 mm Q195 CR sheet is at RMB 3,960/mt ($580/mt), while the price of 1.0 mm Q195 cold rolled coil is now at RMB 3,910/mt ($572/mt).
3. Galvanized coils
Prices are down by RMB 300/mt ($44/mt). As a result, the new price of 1.0 mm DX51D+Z is RMB 4,293/mt ($629/mt).
4. Color coated
Prices remain unchanged.
5. Wire rod
The prices of common carbon wire rod are down by RMB 300/mt ($44/mt).
6. Silicon steel
Prices of oriented silicon steel have seen a drop of RMB 1,000/mt ($146/mt).
All the above prices exclude 17 percent VAT and are effective as of March 6, 2009.
