Over the past week, demand in the local Turkish stainless steel market has remained weak, while producers have been cautious given the rises in nickel prices. Although their production costs have increased due to the upward movement of nickel prices during the past month, Turkish stainless steel producers have kept their prices stable over the past week due to weakness of demand. Turkish producers’ prices of 304 grade 2B stainless steel cold rolled coil (CRC) are still at $2,400-2,500/mt ex-works and their prices of 430 grade 2B stainless steel CRC are standing at $1,400-1,500/mt ex-works, both indicating sideways movement week on week.
