On January 17, global cash nickel prices cash nickel prices at the London Metal Exchange (LME) closed the day at $11,450/mt. While the production costs of Turkish stainless steel producers have risen in line with the increases recorded in nickel prices, the producers have kept their domestic stainless steel quotations stable week on week due to the ongoing weakness of demand resulting from the economic problems seen in Turkey. Accordingly, Turkish producers’ prices of 304 grade 2B stainless steel CRC are at $2,400-2,500/mt ex-works and their prices of 430 grade 2B stainless steel CRC are at $1,400-1,500/mt ex-works.
