Vietnamese flat steel buyers still maintain wait-and-see stance

Flat steel prices in Vietnam have been following a sideways trend, while local buyers have maintained their wait-and-see stance. Meanwhile, some Vietnamese buyers have concluded flat steel transactions from South Korea and Taiwan.
 
Hot rolled coil (HRC) domestic prices in Vietnam have remained unchanged as compared to previous weeks at $635-640/mt, while cold rolled coil (CRC) prices in the local Vietnamese market have indicated a decrease of $15-20/mt as compared to previous weeks and are currently at $780-790/mt, both including VAT.
 
On the import side, Chinese HRC offers to Vietnam are still at $625-630/mt CFR, while certain ex-China spot HRC offers have been heard at the level of $605/mt CFR. On the other hand, ex-South Korea offers for 2 mm re-rolling HRC are at $62-625/mt CFR.
