CRC prices in Vietnam soften, HRC prices stable

Hot rolled coil (HRC) prices in the Vietnamese domestic market have remained unchanged since last week at $635-640/mt ex-works, while cold rolled coil (CRC) prices have softened by about $5-10/mt to $775-780/mt ex-works, both exclusive of VAT.

In the meantime, Chinese offers for 3-12 mm HRC to Vietnam are now standing at $560-570/mt after a drop of $20/mt since last week, while Chinese steel producer Benxi Iron and Steel Company is offering HRC to Vietnam at $570/mt CFR and offers from another Chinese steelmaker Hebei Iron and Steel are at $580-585/mt CFR.

Rerolling quality 2 mm HRC offers to Vietnam from South Korea are at $605-615/mt CFR, while offers from China are at $600-605/mt CFR and Taiwanese offers are at $605-610/mt CFR.
