US import hot dipped galvanized (HDG) and Galvalume offers remained unchanged this week from last week.
It is unclear which way Chinese HDG and Galvalume prices will go in the next week or so, however. Reportedly Chinese mills are threatening to increase prices on HDG and Galvalume when they return after the Chinese New Year holiday, yet Chinese traders are expecting prices to come down. For now though, Chinese offers on HDG 0.012” x 40.875” G30 stayed in the general range of $41.50-$42.50 cwt. ($915-$937/mt or $830-$850/nt) DDP loaded truck in US Gulf ports and offers on 0.019” x 41.5625” Gr80 Galvalume remained at $45.00-$46.00 ($992-$1,014/mt or $900-$920/nt) DDP loaded truck in US Gulf ports.
In addition, Indian offers remained unchanged. Offers on HDG 0.012” x 40.875” G30 stayed at $43.00-$44.00 cwt. ($948-$970/mt or $860-$880/nt) DDP loaded truck in US Gulf ports and Indian offers on 0.019” x 48” G90 stayed in the general range of $43.50-$44.50 cwt. ($959-$981/mt or $870-$890/nt) DDP loaded truck in US Gulf ports.
