During the past week, Turkish buyers’ demand for import flat steel has remained at low levels, while the upward movement of foreign suppliers’ flat steel offers to Turkey seen in previous weeks has come to a halt due to the declines recorded in Chinese hot rolled coil (HRC) export prices. It is observed that Turkish buyers are still maintaining their cautious stance and are concluding import flat steel purchases only in line with their needs.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian HRC prices to Turkey are currently at $620-625/mt CFR, while Russian suppliers’ HRC prices for the same destination are now at $620-630/mt CFR. Additionally, Ukrainian and Russian cold rolled coil (CRC) offers for Turkey are in the range of $640-650/mt CFR and $650-670/mt CFR, respectively.
