Turkish mills' order books for hot rolled coil (HRC) have started to fill up amid strong demand from Europe. Accordingly, as of this week Turkish steelmaker Çolakoğlu Metalurji has closed its sales for February output as it has filled its order books for this period. Meanwhile, other Turkish mills' order books for February rolling are also being filled up. Due to the ongoing uncertainty regarding the seizure at Italian ports of Ilva production materials, Turkish origin HRC materials have continued to see strong demand from Europe, which is a source of satisfaction for Turkish mills.

As SteelOrbis has been informed by market sources, as of today, December 10, ex-Turkey HRC offers have increased by $10/mt as compared to last week to $590/mt FOB.
