Turkish flat steel prices follow stable trend for time being

Flat steel demand in the Turkish domestic market, which has started to pick up since last week, has reached moderate levels. Meanwhile, mills and traders appreciate the increase in demand after a long period of sluggishness. The current sideways price trend is expected to switch to an upward trend in the coming period. Besides, traders who are waiting to see more positive market conditions after Ramadan have started to stock up this week. However, the domestic market is facing tightness in supplies of flat steel as purchasing activities were for a long time restricted to meeting urgent needs. Market players believe it is best to stock up now before prices start to increase.   

The domestic sales prices of traders for local and imported hot and cold rolled flat steel products in the Eregli and Gebze regions of Turkey are as follows:
