Domestic stainless steel prices in Turkey have remained stable week on week with prices of 304 grade 2B stainless steel CRC are at $2,400-2,500/mt ex-works and prices of 430 grade 2B stainless steel CRC are at $1,400-1,500/mt ex-works. On the other hand, demand from buyers in the local Turkish stainless steel market has been at low levels due to the fluctuating Turkish lira-US dollar exchange rate.
Market sources state that domestic stainless steel prices are expected to move sideways in the coming period since global cash nickel prices at the London Metal Exchange (LME) have been trending at around $13,000/mt lately.
