Market sources report that demand in Turkey's flat steel export markets has remained on the poor side over the past week. Market players state that they prefer to maintain a wait-and-see approach as an improvement is unlikely to be seen in Turkey's flat steel export markets before the New Year. Market sources state that in the past week demand has been slack in particular for Turkish cold rolled coil (CRC) in the export markets, and no new offers from foreign buyers have been heard either.

In the meantime, Turkey's hot rolled coil (HRC) export offers have remained unchanged over the past week at $545-555/mt FOB, while Turkish CRC export prices have remained at $645-655/mt FOB over the same period.
