Brazilian producers remain negotiating slab of the basic commercial grades for export in a price range of $440/mt to $460/mt, FOB conditions, a local exporter told SteelOrbis.

Prices are stable from last week, after a reduction of the range that two weeks ago included $470/mt. The current negotiations refer to deliveries scheduled for February 2018.

A second source, also from an exporter, mentioned that fresh deals are being closed at $450/mt, with upward tendency, in line with international prices and production costs, chiefly iron ore and coal.
