A source linked to a Brazilian steel producer told SteelOrbis that slab export offers to the US are traded in a range of $370/mt to $380/mt, CFR conditions for the basic commercial grades, the same as last week.

According to the source, demand from the US continues to drive up prices although freight rates remain stable. The source mentioned that offers to Europe remain roughly in the same price range as to the US.

Preliminary indications by the Brazilian customs point to a reduction in November from the 562,700 mt of slab exported from Brazil in October.
