Sales activities revive slightly in Vietnamese flat steel market

In the Vietnamese domestic flat rolled steel market, demand has risen slightly but still remains sluggish on the whole.
 
Accordingly, in the local Vietnamese market cold rolled coil (CRC) prices have increased by VND 100,000/mt ($5/mt) to VND 19-19.1 million/mt ($917-921/mt) delivered to customer, including VAT.
 
In the meantime, hot rolled coil (HRC) prices in the Vietnamese domestic market have softened by VND 100,000/mt ($5/mt) and are currently standing at VND 15.5-15.6 million/mt ($748-753/mt) delivered to customer.
 
On the other hand, Chinese offers to the local Vietnamese market are at $640-645/mt CFR, while Russian offers to the country are around $680/mt CFR, though for the time being it seems difficult to conclude transactions at these price levels.
